Putting yourself out there and doing things you normally wouldn’t do definitely proves to very exciting.
My day started off like any normal Thursday, waking up at the crack of dawn to grab my lunch pail and head off to work! As exciting as that may sound, it’s unquestionably not a walk in the park.
I fulfilled my duties at work with a smile and lots of water oh and caffeine (prepping for my night ahead). Then I headed off to the most awe-inspiring night thus far for me.
With coffee’s in hand, duffle bag thrown over my shoulder (with model wear inside might I add!), and a smile to be seen for miles; I made my way up to the salon.
First stop: Make up chair with Jacqueline! Let me just say she is one of the best people ever! She is incredibly talented and entertaining! She definitely rocked out my make up!!! I was beginning to look a little more like a present than typical “kristen.”
Next stop: The chair of the amazing hair artist Tricia! She is not only hilarious; she is feisty (which I love, because I've been known to be a little feisty too), loving, self help guru, and completely gorgeous! I couldn’t ask for a better friend/hair stylist! Ok….now on to her perfect creation! This chick worked her little butt off last night….I sat in her chair for about 3 hours! But let me just say the masterpiece she created was pure perfection!!!
Perfection:
After my hair and makeup was done I got to eat a little dinner with the awesome Aleana. My partner in crime for the night! I was SO happy she got to experience all this with me!! She helped calm my nerves quite a few times! Oh and I can’t forget how awesome she looked in her purple wig!! She rocked it!
Time to Shine: After the madness of everyone getting ready we were ushered down to the basement to anxiously await our walk. Most of the girls were first time walkers….including myself, so we were ALL incredibly nervous. As one girl went up the stairs and disappeared the line became shorter and shorter.
It was FINALLY my turn to walk!!
My nerves grew even bigger, I just hoped no one could tell. Side note: After the show Mike graciously informed me that he could tell I was nervous, but I don’t think he counts! J He knows me TOO well!
So I walked, forgetting to stay atop each box for the five seconds as previously told to. But I felt incredible!!! I felt gorgeous, fierce, and sexy!! It was totally thrilling.
I’m SO happy I was asked to be part of this special show.
I was happy to share this experience with amazing people: Mike, Mom, Tricia, Aleana, Jacqueline, Jeff, and Wade. Your support, love, and patience means the world to me!
How'd I become so lucky!?
