a mothers love...dog mommy that is

I don’t pretend to be a mom in human form, but I am a dog mommy
and the moment something happens to your child you are in a panic
yesterday I decided to go to church alone and mike stayed back with the pups
as I left church I got a message from him that read something along the lines of “please come home after church, Boomer is hurt.”
my heart sunk and I started freaking out.
what happened to my baby boy!?
well I got home and learned he had a pretty bad gash in the side of his torso.
it looked pretty deep and was bleeding pretty bad so we decided to take him to the vet
he was in good spirits with the tech’s and the doctor until they got close to his wound. Then he became very aggressive. poor guy was trying to tell them that it hurt
so they had to doctor said it would be best to sedate him to see how deep the wound is and to determine if he punctured his abdomen
i was nice and calm leaving him, but broke down when we left. A million things were running through my mind. poor guy must have felt scared and alone.
welp a couple hours later the doctor called to let us know that Boomer was doing great. she said that the puncture didn’t go through the abdomen and that it didn’t cause any pocketing.  he was coming to and thankfully only needed one staple.
when we picked Mr. B up he wasn’t him and the entire car ride he was yelping and crying from being in pain. i once again broke down; it killed me to know he was in this sort of pain.
we got him home and gave him his meds along with his pain medicine and thankfully he was able to sleep through the night.
AND this morning I woke up to a happy Mr. B. He seemed more of himself. unfortunately since Kali and B stay in the same kennel during the day we had to send her home with my mom so today he’ll be all alone! awe brother and sister so sweet!

here is to Mr. B being brave and staying strong. Here is to him getting healthy again and seeing that smiling doggy face. And here is to all those mom’s that have little once running around, I give you kudos for all that you do!
