beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder
it is what we see when we look at things
most importantly it is how we perceive those things
my weekend began with a cuddle session on the couch
mike didn't get home till around 730 so we just vegged for the night
the next day began with a not so great call
mike's grandma isn't being given a great deal of time left on this earth
as sad as we were to get this information
we began to see the beauty in the situation
although we are selfish creatures by nature we have to remember
this is our temporary home
"this is my temporary home, it's not where i belong
windows and rooms that i'm passing through
this is just a stop on the way to where i'm going
i'm not afraid because this is my temporary home"
with that said we were able to gather ourselves and make it through the night
again, just vegging.
nachos, cider, and beer
oh and don't forget the hangover 2
which to me happens to be hilarious
we cracked up all night long until we finally fell asleep on the couch
sunday brought amazingly much need girl time for me
i got the lovely pleasure of spending the day with the lovely elizabeth
better know to many as liz or nelly
we met up early sunday and made our way to church
topic this week "love drug"
this sermon reminded me of the important things in our relationships
and how God intended our relationships to look like
although it's hard to understand.....
wives submit yourselves to your husbands in everything
and husbands love your wives just as christ loved the church (Eph 5:24-27)
too bad red rocks is so far or i'd visit more often
over the last year i've been blessed with being able to make my home at pathways downtown denver
well after church we ventured out and did some much needed shopping
and boy did we shop
i think we spent about 3 good hours shopping!
i cant wait to share with all the wonderful things we got to try on
well after shopping till we dropped
we got a hankering for some delicious sushi
by the way hapa has the best happy hour EVER!
my week to end was completed by helping michael pack
did i mention....
he makes me realize everyday how lucky i am
it's amazing getting to spend everyday with your best friend
our journey is only beginning!!
moral of the story is
lets remember to see the true beauty in all that life brings us
may that be death, love, friendship, or life!
keep a positive perception
live like there's no tomorrow
and love freely
